About EstateRank

EstateRank is a free directory of UK estate and letting agents, combined with sold house prices from HM Land Registry and free property calculators. It helps home owners, buyers, landlords and tenants find and compare the agents that cover their area.

What EstateRank covers

The directory lists 5,250 estate and letting agency branches, of which 3,771 offer lettings.

Alongside the directory, EstateRank publishes sold house prices by area, postcode and address, a free property valuation tool, and calculators for stamp duty, rental yield and buy-to-let.

Where the data comes from

Agent profiles are built from each agency's publicly available details: office address, services, professional memberships and the property portals it advertises on. Agencies can sign up to manage their own profile.

Sold prices come from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. It covers residential sales in England and Wales; sales in Scotland and Northern Ireland are registered elsewhere and are not included. EstateRank's copy includes sales completed up to 28 November 2025.

Valuations are estimates worked out from comparable Land Registry sales of the same property type near the postcode you enter. They are a guide, not a formal valuation.

How agents are ranked

Rankings sort agents by a profile score built from memberships, portal presence, services and contact details, with a labelled boost for premium (paid) listings. The score does not measure sales results or reviews. Read the full scoring method.

How EstateRank is funded

Using EstateRank is free. The site is funded by agencies that pay for premium listings, which are labelled, and by advertising, which is marked as an advertisement. Neither affects sold price data or valuations.
